National Night Out Neighborhood Block Party is a yearly event held in August. The NNO Team put together another exciting program for this years “National Night Out” event. The meal was a team effort between Board Members and community residents. Community members joined us for food, fun, and all sort of merriment.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. Together, we are making that happen. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel and exhibits.” -National Association of Town Watch & National Night Out.
Whether it’s getting to know your neighbors better or building a stronger relationship with the officers in your neighborhood, a safer El Dorado Park takes all of us organizing and working together. We appreciate all the helpers and guests that gathered to help us make the event a success.
We accept donations, year round, to help cover the costs of food, beverages and entertainment for this great event. Checks can be made payable to El Dorado Park Community Development Corporation at: 1343 E Barstow Ave, Fresno, CA 9371. Please specify: National Night Out.
