The Summer Recreation Program is in its fifth year. The program provides a safe place for the children to engage in activities with other children and it gives Fresno State Students the opportunity to volunteer to work with the children. The children will have the choice of participating in activities such as science, arts and crafts, games, and sports. The EOC will provide breakfast and lunch. If you would like to donate any craft items, purchase pizzas for a pizza party, or help the children attend sites around Fresno, please call Tamie Fraijo at 704-2012. Through the Fresno Police Department a large group of the Summer Recreation staff and children were able to travel by bus to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. For many of them this was their first time leaving the San Joaquin Valley. Through the Boys and Girls Club and the Summer Recreation Program, the children had the opportunity to attend Wild Water this Summer. Even with the discount, the cost per child was$12.50. The children and staff worked hard at selling snow cones at the National Night Out event and were able to get the cost down to $10 per child. If you would like to make a donation to the Summer Recreation Program and help the children broaden their horizons, you can do that on our donate page, or you can mail the donation to: El Dorado Park CDC: 1343 E Barstow Ave, Fresno, CA 93710
